IPT Karak, with Support of Key Stakeholders, Continues Efforts to Produce Skilled Human Resource for Pakistan’s Oil & Gas Industry

In pursuance of the vision and directives of Ali Pervaiz Malik (Federal Minister Petroleum), the Institute of Petroleum Technology (IPT), Karak is actively striving to enhance the technical capacity of Pakistani youth through specialized training in Drilling and Drilling Fluids Technology.

With the valuable support of the Energy & Power Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Oil & Gas Company Limited (KP-OGCL), IPT Karak remains committed to developing a competent mid-level technical workforce to meet the growing needs of Pakistan’s oil and gas sector.

As part of this collaborative effort, OGDCL is providing a one-month field internship opportunity to the graduates of the program, enabling them to gain valuable hands-on industry experience and practical exposure. This initiative reflects a shared commitment to bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements while contributing to the development of a skilled and employable workforce for the country’s energy sector.
