Expansion of Project (IPT Karak) Approved by Federal Government

The federal government of Pakistan has approved the expansion project of the Institute of Petroleum Technology in Karak, in a high-level meeting chaired by Federal Minister for Planning, Dr. Ahsan Iqbal. Dr. Ahsan Iqbal emphasized the national importance of the institute (IPT Karak), noting that it aligns with Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif’s “Skilled Pakistan” initiative. He also expressed his intent to personally oversee the project’s progress.

The meeting was attended by key officials including Dr. Najibullah (Member for Science and Technology), Ikramullah Khan (Additional Chief Secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), Nisar Ahmed (Secretary of Energy and Power Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) and Mohsin Mulk (Project Director). Their collaboration played a significant role in the approval of the expansion. The project is expected to create new job opportunities for the youth of the southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and across Pakistan.
